Message to American Peers
We encourage Student Organizations to highlight the resilience, strength, and unwavering belief in our Victory among Ukrainian youth. The key is establishing an emotional and personal connection, inviting our peers to discover that our motivations and values are shared.
The MessageJust like our American counterparts, we, the Ukrainian and Ukrainian-American students, are motivated by our beliefs and we fight to defend them. Every one of us carries a unique motivation for Ukraine's victory, showcasing the richness of our diversity while uniting for a shared cause. A free Ukraine signifies freedom of expression, language, identity, and self-expression under a peaceful sky. A Crimean Tatar student yearns for the freedom of their culture and language on their ancestral Crimean lands, while an LGBTQIA+ member seeks authenticity in the free Ukraine. Despite diverse motivations, what unites us is the collective desire to defend the right to live in a free country and be true to ourselves.
We appeal to our American friends to believe in our cause and stand in solidarity, as what we fight for resonates with the values of freedom and aspirations for justice that they hold dear.
